Current Containers
The containers are leaking and ready for scrap - The plan is to replace with quality second hand watertight containers. The proposal is for 2 x 20ft containers with a covered space between the containers so every item will be under cover eg Herras fencing, bollards etc . The containers will be painted green and be insulated and plywood lined and racked out for efficient storage. A personal door will be added for easier and more convenient entry. Our existing containers are not insulated or plywood lined and damaging the contents due to leaks and condensation. We have no storage space at our Village Hall & Pavilion so use the containers for spare furniture ie tables, chairs, BBQ equipment etc and 5 marquees which the largest is 30 metres.
When the new containers are in place there will be no items stored outside the container area. Our marquees and stored items are used for events in the village including for St Mary's Church. The largest event being the annual Beer & Music Festival which attracts 1500 plus visitors and important funds for our local St Nicholas Hospice. In 2025 the day raised £17,000 for St Nicholas
